Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management - ARGUCOM

Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management (ARGUCOM) is a public higher education institution established in the year 2010. It is the first cooperative management university in the country established under the Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management Act, 2010. ARGUCOM is under the recognition of UGC vide No. F.9-21/2011 (CPP-1/PU) dated Feb 27, 2012.

ARGUCOM is located in Sivasagar and is a teaching, residential university with the mission of training for enhancing skill and managerial capacity, education for widening knowledge and learning, research for searching innovative spheres and to make efforts for all round development of cooperative movement and rural economy. The university offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.

ARGUCOM emphasizes on the grass root learning of students and not confined to bookish knowledge only. It is a specialized university and as such its efforts are also result oriented and innovative.

The main objectives of the University is to provide quality education and make provisions for research, advancement and dissemination of knowledge. It aims to create higher level of managers, professionals, teachers and intellectuals in the field of Co-operative and allied sectors.

Courses at a Glance

BBA (Coop)
The courses comprises of Trimester system of curriculum involving academic rigour and wide course coverage.
MBA
MBA is a full time 2 (two) year course. The Programme includes a dual specialization in any two of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and Information Technology.
MCA
MCA 3 Years (6 semesters) Master Degree Program in Computer Application. The objective of the course is to enhance knowledge and practical learning at latest technology, tools and application in IT to meet ever - growing requirement of IT professionals.
M.Com.
M.Com is a two year (4 semester) Post Graduate Programme. The objective of the course is to build competencies of the students in the functional areas of Accounting and Finance. Further, by providing understanding of strategic impacts of financial decisions, students would be ready to face challenges normally encountered in broad based financial market.
LLM
LL.M. is a two year (4 semesters) Mater Degree Programme in Law. The products of this course would be suitable not only in the world of academics but also in organisations dealing with Government policies.
