Majuli University of Culture (MUOC)

The Majuli University of Culture (MUOC) aims to develop into a non-affiliating, interdisciplinary, higher education establishment with a focus on Indian culture and heritage studies and research to progressively become a University of Category 1 under the New Education Policy of India. The University's primary focus is on researching and studying the multifaceted cultural lives of people in India, especially those in Assam and the Northeast. Ultimately, the university hopes to develop into a multidimensional education institution that can encompass all fields of study related to human civilisations and cultures, including liberal arts and basic sciences.

MUOC Admission

For Five Year Integrated Masters (4 Year UG + 1 Year PG) Programme:

Passed Higher Secondary or equivalent in Arts, Science, Commerce or any other discipline.
Admission will be done through the Common Admission Portal of the SAMARTH e-govt. Suit. For registration please visit https://assamadmission.samarth.ac.in
Suitable list of candidates will be prepared based on results of the Higher Secondary of equivalent examination.
Statutory seat reservations are available.
The selection process for those who wish to take Honors in Performing arts will be based on the results of the higher secondary or equivalent examinations and face to face interview with the candidates.

For Post-Graduate Programme:

Admission through Entrance Examination Majuli University of Culture Entrance Test (MUCET).

For Ph.D. Programmes:

Admission will be done as per U G C Guidelines.

Diploma and Certificate Courses:

MUOC Invites the Online applications for admission into different Diploma and Certificate Courses.
Merit list of the applied candidates is prepared based on the criteria determined by the concerned department.

MUOC Examination

MUOC Exams typically start in December for the odd semester and in July or August for the even semester.

MUOC Placement
