Pragjyotishpur University (PJU)

On Monday, October 17, 2022, the Assamese government enacted the Pragjyotishpur University Act No. XLVI of 2022, bringing the lively legacy connected with this name to life and establishing Pragjyotishpur University.

For its first Academic Session of 2023–2024, the University officially started offering undergraduate programs on Friday, September 1, 2023. The NEP 2020 guides the direction of academic activities at the university.

Courses Offered

Under its five Schools of Academic Excellence, the university launched undergraduate programs with honours and integrated master's degrees. It also started offering pharmaceutical sciences courses after receiving the necessary clearance from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
