Assam Teachers Eligibility Test - Assam TET

The Government of Assam, Department of School Education, conducts the Assam Teachers Eligibility Test every year in the month of October. So, the candidates those who qualify the B.Ed. examination can appear for Assam TET to get selected and become a teacher in the primary & elementary schools within the state of Assam.

Assam Teachers Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates must be a Citizen of India and must be a resident of Assam.
  2. Candidate must be a graduate having 50% marks from a recognized University with B.T/B.Ed from a recognised University.
  3. Candidates must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Assamese language as one of the subjects or having Diploma in Assamese language issued by the Assam Sahitya Sabha or read up to HSLC level in Assamese medium school.
  4. Degrees served from off Campus Centres shall not be accepted.
  5. Minimum age limit of the Participants is 21 years.
  6. Maximum age limit of the Participants is 28 years.
  7. The upper age relaxation will be applicable for the reserved of candidates as per Assam Government norms.

Assam TET Application Fees

  • Contenders need to pay of Rs. 500 as an application fee.

Assam TET Selection Procedure

  1. Participants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Written Exam & Personal Interview.
  2. The written examination and personal interview will be conducted by the Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhijan of Assam.
